PURSUE Release 07: A 2026 Triangle Report, Utah Ranch Files, and Cold War Cases
The Department of War published the seventh PURSUE tranche on October 23, 2026. The release contains 28 PDF records and no videos, spanning reports from 1949 through 2026. Its most prominent records pair a new AARO memorandum with an FBI interview report about a triangular object, while the largest group opens another part of the AAWSAP and Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies contractor archive.
Release 07 also reaches back to Cold War Air Force reporting, four cases associated with Catalina Island, and executive-branch correspondence about responsibility for recovered space debris. The result is a mixed documentary release: contemporary witness reporting, contractor program records, historical case files, and administrative material.
A Triangular Object Reported in 2026
DOW-UAP-D176 is an AARO memorandum recording a witness debrief about a matte-black triangular object observed at a sensitive site in the western United States in June 2026. The memorandum describes vertical movement, hovering, rapid descent, and no reported acoustic signature. FBI-UAP-D043 is the associated FD-302 interview record involving two federal agents.
AARO describes the report as inconclusive and says it warrants further investigation. That distinction is essential. The documents preserve what witnesses reported and how investigators recorded it; they do not establish the object's identity, origin, or performance independently.
AAWSAP, BAASS, and the Utah Ranch
Nine documents concern work performed by Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies under the Defense Intelligence Agency's AAWSAP program from 2008 through 2010.
The group includes MUFON reports prepared for BAASS (D166), the proposed Project Capella data-warehouse framework (D167), a BAASS project management plan (D168), and monthly reports from March, April, June, and November 2009 (D169–D171 and D173). Those reports document staffing, contractor activity, proposed databases, and research threads that included Brazilian records related to the 1977 Colares wave.
DOW-UAP-D174 is the Utah Ranch Investigation Report, covering BAASS field deployments in March and April 2010. It records witness claims, field observations, and experiments at the property commonly called Skinwalker Ranch. DOW-UAP-D175 is a November 2010 self-assessment of BAASS analytical capabilities.
These are contractor records, not government validation of every claim they contain. Their value lies in showing what the program collected, proposed, funded, and documented.
Air Force Reports from the 1950s
Ten records, D155 through D164, preserve Air Force intelligence and flying-object reports from 1952 to 1957. Their locations range from Saudi Arabia, Guam, Sardinia, Berlin, French Morocco, Alaska, Sweden, and Indiana.
The cases are not uniform. D155 concerns radar contact during a Strategic Air Command mission over Saudi Arabia in 1957. Other files describe lights, radar returns, pilot reports, and civilian observations. Several records include possible or probable conventional explanations, including a lighted weather balloon, anomalous propagation, birds, a planet, or a meteor. Publishing an unresolved or historical file does not erase those assessments.
Four Catalina Island Cases
Release 07 groups four historical reports associated with Catalina Island, California. D179 records three Boy Scouts reporting a silent silver object in 1952. D178 describes a purplish-white, saucer-shaped object in 1953, with a planet offered as a possible explanation. D177 covers a bright orange object in 1955 and records a probable-meteor conclusion. D181 preserves a 1949 report of six objects for which the available information was insufficient for evaluation.
Together, the files show how early Air Force investigators recorded observations, requested follow-up information, and sometimes reached tentative conventional conclusions.
Space Debris and Administrative Records
Two records broaden the release beyond sighting reports. EOP-UAP-D002 and USG-UAP-D002 contain 1962–1964 executive-branch correspondence about which agencies should handle recovered domestic or foreign space debris. They document questions of jurisdiction and disclosure, not evidence that the material was extraterrestrial.
DOW-UAP-D180 is the final Air Force personnel record of Colonel Howard M. McCoy. Its reason for inclusion is not stated on the public index, so any relationship to the other records should not be assumed.
What Release 07 Adds
Release 07 is most useful when read as several archives placed side by side. The 2026 triangle documents offer a contemporary example of AARO and FBI reporting. The BAASS files expose more of AAWSAP's contractor infrastructure and Utah Ranch work. The older Air Force and Catalina records show that historical files often contain both unexplained observations and ordinary candidate explanations.
None of the documents confirms an extraterrestrial origin. They expand the primary-source record and make it possible to compare witness language, investigative methods, contractor claims, and official uncertainty across more than seven decades.
